Meet Dr. Park
Dr. Park completed her undergraduate studies at McGill University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Physiology followed by a Master's Degree in Physiology from the University of Toronto. She then moved to New York City to attend dental school at Columbia University where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In order to utilize her strong medical training from Columbia University she then moved to Los Angeles and completed a residency program at UCLA in hospital dentistry; a strong program for treating medically compromised patients. Shen then pursued her interest in orthodontics and graduated from the University of Texas, San Antonio Orthodontic program where she received her specialty Certificate in Orthodontics.
Although born in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Park has spent her childhood years in Buenos Aires Argentina and also grew up in Montreal, Canada. As a result of living in different countries and cities she is completely fluent in Spanish, French, Korean and of course English.
Dr. Park believes that orthodontics is a health science as well as a cosmetic one. Her approach to treatment is to properly diagnose and to utilize proven and effective methods in treatment planning each patient uniquely. She also believes in efficient treatment that leads to the best functional and aesthetic results. Furthermore, Dr. Park respects her patient's time and almost never keeps her patients waiting.
Dr. Park is a member of the American Dental Association and is currently very involved in the Western Los Angeles Dental Society serving as President in 2016. She has also served as Area Representative, Secretary on the Executive committee, Treasurer on the Executive committee, President-Elect on the Executive committee and delegate to the House of Delegates. Moreover, Dr. Park gets involved every year with dental screenings in the schools around Westchester and Culver City.
When not in the office, she likes to play golf (she is an avid golfer) and likes to hike and travel.
